This is important.. Okay, seriously, I am going to put up two options as far as our future hip-hop musical video posts (as far as the majority of them). It is also a lyrically educational post.. That's a double win!!

Option A:

note: All I can say to this is "Racks on Racks on Racks." I put up the version with the lyrics written down so ya'll could basically understand it. I also didn't put up the 13 Minute remix, for hopefully obvious reasons..

Option B:

note: There is no note, this is an easy pick to contrast with the other methinks..

Option C) In real life this is the type of video I would put up most of the time.. but I should at least attempt to stay within.. I don't know... a two year time frame nahmean'? Actually f--k that, you guys know how to vote.. May the best video, according to all of my fellow zombies win..

What inspired me to put this up was an injury, when injured I listen to a lot of music and make myself busy around my apt. doing chores etc. I also read a lot, particularly back issues of magazines I subscribe to or buy regularly.

I often check out waxpoetics magazine, among others regarding vinyl collecting in a vain hope to expose myself to new stuff I did not think of purchasing (in my epic knowledge ;P) and what have you. I don't think Serge Gainsbourg is a name many of ya'll haven't heard of, but how about this video? This is one of many reasons I appreciate waxpoetics tv... Randomness is glorious occasionally...

Interesting dance moves eh? In regards to any advice on records that are good at soothing an injured body and mind, that is kind of personal I'd say.. If you aren't sure what you want to hear during down times may I suggest two worthwhile musical sources?.. I needed music that provided quality background soundtracks for my busywork and these worked... While both vary in what they provide, so far they have given me a plethora of proper distractions..

Stones Throw Records Podcasts - If you don't know what this is, I'm really not sure what to say, but by all means check it out. Seriously, you haven't heard of this?

Also, I discovered this a LONNNNGGG time ago, it really is in no way relaxing but it is kind of fun to browse through in one's bored times.. I'm not sure it's "cool" and I don't really care, as a kid I loved checking out Red Grooms exhibits, this reminds me of his stuff, only with car parts as dj's.. Introducing UJino Works if ya'll ain't heard of it.. Weird yeah, but look who tf is posting this..

Every single day from now on, we will be keeping all the nerds out there well fed. We thank the 17,000 plus folks who visited us during our hiatus, and the approximately 1,000 of our visitors who have downloaded our "goodies".. Speaking of the hiatus, it's been 9 months and a day.. That said, I love the number 8.. It's got a lucky charm doesn't it? I think I will try to do about 8 posts a week from now on as a minimum number, that'll be 1.14 or so a day.. Hi guys.. The faster zombies are far from dead, I mean we are zombies.. but besides the already dead thing we ARE not dead in your terms. We had to go back to school, sling the newest, refinance, start our own hustles, become one of the best promoters in PHL annnd remix our format. Nearly 14,000 hits only about 6 months in (nothing folks, just watch) did you think we'd just fade out? Nope. Nope and nope. Don't worry Kyoko and don't worry in general. Cayate la boca haters. We occasionally need to do some undercover stuff, if after our last breaks we came back strong then think hulk this time. Download the goodies, get the joke and follow the leader. 4G Iphone

Now for those who didn't get to go to the event or watch the realtime stream of the event here is the basic rundown:
Its is 25% thinner, making it the thinest smartphone on the market.
It has 4x's the pixels on the touchscreen for even better images
It now has an LED flash for photos and 720p 30fps HD video with built in video editing
Apple is releasing an imovie app for high quality editing on the phone itself
They have added a gyroscope to it (all 6 axis of motion detection available) the gaming possibilities are ridiculous for this one.
The new IOS4 OS enables multitasking across the entire range of Idevices including the Ipad etc.
The 3G is no more and the 3GS will take its place at the bottom of the range.
Both the front and the back is made from a special glass that is incredibly strong and will allow signals to pass through the phone without any issues.
The metal band around the sides of the phone (as seen in the Gizmodo video) is made from a special stainless steel that not only holds the components of the phone but also acts as an antenna.
They are now using the same processor that comes in the Ipad making the Iphone more powerful AND better on battery life.
The battery now takes up most of the internals (larger battery) increasing the battery life enormously.
And my favourite announcement is that once you purchase something on any of your Idevices you now can download the same product on your other Idevices for free. And they all will wirelessly sync. This means you can buy an Ibook on your Ipad and read part of it on one device then seamlessly continue reading it another one.
My second favourite announcement is that Apple is fully supporting html5 and you can now develop apps in html5.
Last but not least I can't forget about the forward facing camera or the new app that makes video calls possible (initially though wi-fi)...think scype on steroids...
The 4G will begin shipping later this month, in the US, UK and the rest of their primary Markets.
Canada and the secondary markets will start getting their's in July, the rest of the planet should be able to get their hands on one by September.
This thing is really going to be a game changer....I can't wait for my contract to end so I can upgrade to one.

News on my mind...it's late at night...I'm hot and tired. Too much facebook/ twitter has made me lose my writing skills- but here it is!

Lynn Hirschberg wrote a not so nice article about M.I.A. basically highlighting what I've kind of always thought about her...

M.I.A. retaliates by tweeting the journalist's phone number as if it were her own.

A few people bash Diplo as outing M.I.A. and saying he's a bitter ex-boyfriend. I disagree, although he probably shouldn't have been so open.

Pharrell said Lynn Hirschberg is OG...that's funny.

A lot of ppl have been commenting about M.I.A. eating truffle fries. From what I can tell she seems ashamed...hahaha. You know what, if you like truffle fries don't be ashamed. Also, they're not that bourgeois anyways.

Quite frankly, I think Lynn did great journalism but the article was mind-numbing.

I think twittering the phone number was lame and makes M.I.A. look really, really juvenile. The media twists and contorts- get a publicist. Learn how to soundbyte. Duh.

M.I.A. is engaged to a very, very wealthy man and has money herself. Instead of promoting her politics through her music, twitter, and videos she should take her money and put it into the cause. Because guess what, some hipster in Brooklyn doesn't give a shit about Sri Lanka. All she does is make the issue a novelty and make violence/ terrorism seem chic. Please.

After being a waitress for over a decade, I'm trying out a new gig. I'll be working as a sales associate at one of my favorite places to shop ever. I'm extremely nervous about working in such a tempting environment. I'm also helping style That Girl Em for her weekly party, Tiger Beats. Why I Hate My Cat, Vishnu

He'll try to kill anything that moves. Feet under a blanket. Attack! String hanging from a hoodie. Attack! Piece of trash blowing in the wind. Attack!

Critter in a cage. Attempted attack!

The latter is what I hate the most about Vishnu. I can't have any other pets. I've tried. Former roommates have tried. He gave Taterpuff Jr, a nice little mouse, a heart attack. He nearly burnt down my apartment after knocking over the heat lamp for my roommate's bearded dragon.

I know I should just deal with this companion of mine that will probably live for at least another 10 years but I have a lingering passion that Vishnu just wont let me indulge in...

I love rats.

I grew up with them as pets. My best friend has like 6. They're my favorite animal.

Don't get grossed out. Geeze.

The taboo that rats are plague carrying vermin and filthy creatures to shriek at the sight of makes me mad. Seriously, I'm not going to grab one off the streets and call it my own. That is gross and dangerous. There is a science to choosing the proper rat. And once you have one you will scoff at all other pets.

I bet you didn't know that they are extremely cleanly animals. They can be trained to do all sorts of cool stuff. Think of any trick you can teach a dog and you can train a rat to do it. I've seen a rat and dog become best friends. They napped together, cleaned each other. It was damn cute.

In India they worship them. There is a temple that is dedicated to them. The worshippers drink out of the same milk bowl that hundreds of thousands of rats drink from daily. I'm not that into rats. But that's a fun little fact.

If you don't have a crazy street cat like Vishnu, I highly suggest getting a pet rat. You won't regret it. Promise. If you don't believe me about how amazing these critters are, check it out here for more information.

I haven't seen the Runaways yet, but am pretty weirded out by Dakota Fanning growing up. I'm wondering if she'll be a lesbonic Jodie Foster type, drug addict, train wreck, arrested, or whatnot. Any other bets are welcome. I think she might end up a lesbonic Jodie Foster type...seriously. I do think that right now she looks like a wholesome tween- maybe too wholesome looking for the Runaways film. I think Taylor Momsen would have been a better choice, but lately she's annoying me on Gossip Girl too much, so hahaha. Seriously though, Taylor has a band and likes that whole rock n roll thing. Maybe the role would have been too similar to the rebellious Jenny Humphrey character she plays...or her own real life persona. Such as saying crude things and smoking a bunch of cigarettes at sweet 16. Anyhoo, does anyone remember when people were counting down the days of the Olsen Twins turning "of age"? Fashion photographer Terry Richardson has come under fire for sexual misconduct, sexual harassment, and being a perv. Model Rie Rammussen claimed he takes advantage of young girls and model Jamie Peck wrote of how he propositioned her for a hand job.

Quite frankly, a lot of male photographers are pervy. Sometimes it seems like male photographers are only photographers because it gives them an excuse to get girls naked and into compromising positions. Richardson's perv nature is pretty clear if you look at his diary or work. I'd say he's up there with Dov Charney on the perv scale. Evidence: he loves thumbs up, thumb sucking, nudity, and wears nothing but plaid into his mid 40's. I bet he loves high fives too...It's weird because Richardson and Charney make being a perv look cool. It's a thin line...

I'm not really sure what to think about all of this. Peck's story is a bit ridiculous. I can't tell if she was slightly into it, just being a fame whore, or actually ashamed. Frankly, I think she should explore her kinky side in a safe environment with someone she trusts...The creative process with a photographer can be untraditional, as is Richardson's. Overall, potential or current models should take wary of working with photographers they feel sketched out by, always have a consent/ release form, and be vocal about what they feel comfortable with. There's power in choice and power in voice.

I'm sure a lot of you have seen these things before, the series "Drunk History" is hilarious. I decided to put this particular episode up because I wanted to highlight the historic battles between inventors. I also put this up because I'm a pretty big Nikola Tesla fan. His ideas about wireless electricity might actually work, and from what I've read quite a few of his patents are gov't property, as in the secret kind.

Almost a whole week late.. FZ Radio's Welcome to Crumbville volume 3 is here!!! For those curious about why it is so late, its a bit complicated to explain. Our Dj on this one, タングステン9 made this by friday. That much was on time. Unfortunately, the mixdown sucked (typical for that odd odd man) and it was even weirder then his first two (which if you've heard them is pretty effin weird!) etc. etc. I sent it back to the lab hoping it would at least stick to a mood. It came back even more strange, great, and putting it up was then delayed further do to a trip to NYC on my part. There were also a few obligations involving my grandmother.. I kept thinking we'd get it up but alas it was not possible until now. Scroll down to see what my G-mom has to say for those mad at how late this mix is. For the record, this project has A LOT of really rare sh-t (go to town producers out there), some old school classics, some straight up bizarre sh-t, and the usual heavy dose of quotes. That and a kind of continuos song mode. Apparently it is designed for "blunt smokin', alcohol drinking at home alone, headphones, car stereos and doppleganger third person quoting. !?" Seriously. Crazy right? Read more here. Not that surprising though, to us at least, since we are obviously the greatest thing ever and usually think of everything before you do. You may have noticed that we have been on facebook for a minute or two AND our blog is hosted by Google, thus we already thought that this might happen. That's how we roll, we also are thinking Pagers need to make a comeback, like that sort-of-funny guy Dennis from 30 Rock said years ago.

My phone is for reading my own or your facebook drivel and surfing the internet for pictures of deep-deep sea fish with glowing eyes etc. I only talk occasionally, mostly to bother my family/significant other/ or yell at customer service motherf-ckers... so? Txt your number, and I'll txt you back should you need to contact me. That's normal right? Sure. I know most folks do that already, but let's say we threw in a pager? Instead of texting HELP!! or calling your friend with some serious sh-t only to have em' not hear it cuz' its on vibrate mode. BANG!!! A loud as pager would not only solve that but look retro, AND up the ante of giving someone you like-like a special feeling.

Fellas, imagine yourself saying this: "I'll give you my pager number too baby, that's how much I prioritize you, these other broads can text me all night but only you can shockingly loudly beep me awake, its like a booty alarm, but its not for booty its for... cliche cliche cliche." I have no comment on this. Actually, that's a lie. This blog wouldn't exist without google nor would 85% of ya'll have found this. Not to mention the obvious... Anyway, a monopoly is creepy to be sure. Maybe they've got one, at least in online advertising, but I think the conspiracy folks have bit off a little more then they can chew. Google is a pretty damn powerful company, to say the least, and people should just get over it already. Speaking of "Google powers" did anyone else read the U.S. State Department and Chinese whatever-you-call-the-equivalent reports on each other. That's some beef on paper if I've ever seen it, I think they should start battling on mics.

I don't do politics on here, but as long as Google lets me search for whatever I want (like what I've just mentioned) I think its basically good. Go ahead and Google something flagrantly dangerous to others (not just a lil' bit mind you) and then b-tch if you get caught.. Okay idiot. Just read the Google founder's advice in this video. Its pretty valid whether we like it or not. I'm not hating mind you, I just think that your privacy is not real online folks. Sorry to break it to you. You can facebook block folks, encrypt whatever but its all beatable, usually by a couple college kids or even high schoolers, so bark up another tree conspiracy gnomes. You can't hide online, but its still a great place to be. Don't get me started on internet beefs...

I beat the video game in 2 days but kept playing it.. The graphics were just, well, breathtaking to me. I loved the NES f-ck your xbox ps3 online roleplaying crap. Keep it simple. Seriously.

BTW in pretty sure that my friends and I found all the secret stuff, we played this so much we got bored of it then started again the next day. I hadn't heard of its sequel, so? Figure skater Johnny Weir has come into the spotlight mainly because of questions over his sexuality and how it is interpreted in his choreography. Broadcasters have stated that he should skate against women, not men, and speculated that he lost points due to his costume and body language. I think that the concentration on sexuality and gender regarding figure skating undermines the sport. I've never been super into the Olympics, but figure skating was always of interest. Their is some real beauty and grace in figure skating, but there is also much athleticism. I don't know much about the sport, but you can easily observe flexibility, balance, speed, strength, etc.

Regarding Weir, his choreography and costumes definitely have some flamboyant flair. I don't believe this should undermine his talent although it might have been in his best interest to wear a more conservative costume for the Olympics. Mainly because it IS the Olympics. Although, if everyone was a little more open-minded, perhaps his creativity would be a more welcome addition to the Olympics. While many people watch and enjoy the Olympics, Weir's showmanship and creativity could raise viewership and expand old notions of figure skating being stuffy and boring.

Overall, I give him props. He has an interesting background. Once an equestrian, he had to sell his horse (My Blue Shadow) because of financial issues. He also taught himself how to ice skate on a frozen cornfield by his house. In addition, he designs many of his own costumes and has taught himself Russian and French. I definitely hope he performs in the next Olympics!

Lady B makes our first female appearance with "To The Beat Y'all" recorded in Philly! Heavy disco drum action on "Willie Rap" by Willie Wood & Willie Wood Crew, they just wanna make your nature rise? Any time is party time according to T.J. Swann & Peewee Mel "Maximus Qary" recognize that bass line? "Rappers Delight" no not Sugarhill Gang but this time with Jamaicans Xanadu & Sweet Lady every bit as funky as the original. Recorded live, and turntables not a band on the beat, this is a real taste of how hip hop sounded at the time courtesy of "High Power Rap" by Disco Dave And The Force Of The Five MC's [AKA The Crash Crew] One of my personal faves "Party People" byRappermatical 5 amazing name, amazing flows, check those guys out! I had a dream in which Eminem was battling Arnold Swarzenegger (sp) and I woke up to realize I fell asleep in front of the TV and the last battle scene from 8Mile was about to begin.

8Mile did for battle rap what Juice did for battle DJing...

Accept of course they used real rappers in 8Mile and fake DJ's pretending to DJ over what sounds like 45 King Routines...

So why do serious rappers hate 8Mile while DJ's love Juice?

Well to start Tupac is in Juice. The plot, the actors, and the directing are all superior to 8Mile.
But the real reason why people love Juice and hate 8Mile is....

I'm not saying these dudes are wack...cause they aren't. I'm saying I was in the scene pre and post 8Mile and dudes like these guys got zero love until after 8Mile...
What really changed weren't the rappers, but the ones that got attention, because the audience changed.

I'm not gonna get into how the audience changed cause its all now part of the Hiphop landscape, and ya'll know I love everyone equally.
BTW OZ won every round...watch that video again.
What I will say is that Hiphop is built on a strong tradition (albeit a modern one) and the true problem is/was that until 8Mile 90% of people at a Hiphop show knew who Cool Herc was/is.
After 8Mile that number dropped to maybe 65%.

I have to ask myself, and the readers/ Zombies out there...since music is now downloaded for free and is therefore losing its financial value, is it also being devalued culturally?
Sure we all have music related memories, but does the history of a genre or the culture associated with a piece of music carry any value any more?

Honestly when I was young(er) if there was a song that I liked I wanted to know everything about it.
I wanted to know everyone who worked on it, and I wanted to find out who "influenced" the artists who made it.
Do people still read interviews for stuff like that?

And if popular culture is loosing its cultural equilibrium today, how long will it be until mis-contextualizing older cultural works like Purcell's or Mozart's simply occurs because the blind masses decide that culture isn't important.
Culture is important. And the popular culture(s) of today will become the classical culture of tomorrow.

Just some food for thought.

This weeks Throwback Friday, we pay homage to one of the greatest Hip Hop groups of all time Gangstarr. The D.J./M.C. pairing of DJ Premier and Keith E.E [Guru] shaped the sound of Hip Hop in the 90's kicking off the jazz sampling age with 1990's "Jazz Thing" taken from the soundtrack to Spike Lee's "Mo Better Blues". They continued to bring the "Boom Bap" formulating what is now known as the archetypal "New York Sound" right up to the no nonsense of their last album [to date] "The Ownerz" 2003.
This video is the classic "Words I Manifest" taken from their first album, 1989's "No More Mr Nice Guy".........

Bad, bad Leroy Brownnnnnn... R.I.P. sir! I had a vision today of doing a post regarding the Ol' Dirty Bastard. I needed to go back to the times when the Wu was a baby, when I first experienced living in the suburbs (like Mars, at least to me) and the city folk started looking at me funny. At least the R3 to R7 / R8 two hour ride to go chill* had a soundtrack.. I listened to the Gravediggaz (which in europe had a crazy a$$ name btw) the Outkast, Nas, Jeru etc. etc etc. and of course the ODB and his clan!!!!!

Jay-Z might have brought the hood to the burbs like he thinks, but the Wu brought something undefinable that (at least in my K.O.P. Abercrombieville ;P ) made a serious impression. If you don't believe me, just watch these. No fancy digital stuff, no theatrics, just ... ummm? Point is, no one will ever be like the ODB again, and that's all that's it. The man was both a founding, and perhaps the most original, member of the Wu.

Kinda different from the endless stream of "behind the scenes" of music video footage, and Macbook-cam beefs huh? Yes, those are actually food stamps, and yes it was 1995...

Mind you this was before "Forever." I know that's what a lot of todays cute kiddos (I'm not old but I call it like I see it) define the Wu by, but sorry folks, in my opinion it was what led to the Wu Tang Forever album's success that mattered. Basically nobody had ever seen or heard anything like them. The ODB gives you a good idea of this phenomenon don't you think?

Flower Shower...

As much as I try to dress bright and colorful for the winter, I usually end up with my staple grays and blacks. I forced myself to not buy another pair of black boots this winter. I ended up with gray boots instead! Well spring is in the air, so I'll start rocking florals. I love florals because they can be toughened up- whether it's a leather jacket or motorcycle boots- it always looks fresh. Just like Spring! Florals are also very economical. The future.. South Korea... Slept on and mistaken about its own role in the world?

It is widely known that S. Korea has had quite a bit of political troubles since the end of the Korean War. However, by the time they hosted the 1988 Summer Olympics things had begun to rapidly change. That said (and factual ;P) there is little known about their impact on the world. This should change. We should all be paying much more attention to the country. Although it is shadowed in the news in comparison with its closest neighbors (China, Japan, and N. Korea), its about time people looked a bit closer. Especially because their influence on us is already pretty big, and may be growing faster then we think. In short its time we got pretty hip to what's going on in S. Korea, and introduced to some pretty dope music, fashion and even movies coming out of the "Hermit Kingdom." Truthfully, in regards to music they have been dope for a pretty long time (see song below). Even if it is referred to as a Hermit, S. Korea certainly is not. But what does its people think? If they think no one will notice (and follow the zombies lead) its time they think otherwise.

I'd tell you who this is, but some zombie secrets stay that way ;P If you can read Korean, and make beats (more then possible) then you might be lucky right now. I can't read Korean but I had heard of them through diggin'. Aren't I lucky ;P

Oh yeah, they got one less then Russia, good work S. Korea and really Russia??!!

H&M Opens in Myeong-dong (명동), Seoul (서울)!

After a long awaited debut, the Seoul H&M opens in Myeong-Dong (명동). Myeong-Dong is similar to NYC's Soho. Recent imports to this trendy shopping district have included Uniqlo, Forever 21, and Mango. SPAO was another addition, which is purely Korean operated. Surprisingly, H&M decided not to partner with Lotte.

FYI, Lotte pretty much runs the block in Korea. It's a huge Korean and Japanese conglomerate. The umbrella of operations includes everything imaginable: amusement parks, finance, candy, shopping, food, hotels, etc. A quick google search and you can get this or research on your own. Point being, H&M has balls for passing up on the partnership. It could be bad business or not. I'm not familiar enough with Lotte to say anything, but most companies chose to partner with Lotte.

As you can see there was quite a long line. Waits were reported as long as 2 to 3 hours. The overall space looks quite chic as opposed to other H&M stores I've seen. I'm still trying to figure out the price point. Hopefully, H&M will still be cheap and inexpensive for Korean shoppers. Since it is an international company, I'm hopeful. Yet, I'm told that shopping in Korea is really inexpensive due to wholesale retailers which would be competition in itself.. Honestly, from what Korean friends have told me, and what I've seen on online Korean retailers- H&M might not have much to offer. Although, American Apparel has been pretty successful.

As Rakim said: it's been a long time I shouldn't of left you,
with out a strong rhyme to step to. So I'm (One Love) back by popular demand...okay mostly it is the other Zombies sending me emails telling me to get back to posting. So here I am.
I've got alot of juicy stuff saved up for you guys... so let's get the show started.

One of my favourite subjects is copyright law, and how archaic it has become. REALLY the whole world needs to modernize their perspective on copyright, and we need to to keep the court system out of the art world.
Here is a documentary on the subject called Good Copy Bad Copy...watch it and educate yourself...props to Girl Talk and all the people involved in this documentary which is arguably the most complete look into this subject.

Here is a little something for my ladies ;) ...I'm just playing...
seriously though.

I used to know these guys that were friends of friends, of friends, type thing and I would bump into them at house parties in Montreal once in a while. I heard they got some grant money and started a zine, and that zine grew into a full fledge enterprise, but I never expected to see anything connected to them on cnn.com but I guess anything is possible right?

What made the Vice guys so interesting was that they weren't afraid to put some off the wall shit in their pages next to a serious story. It gave them the freedom of saying whatever they wanted, whenever they wanted, pretty much all by mistake. I don't think that energy could ever be recreated, even by the original trio...meh who needs Vice when you got Zombies ;)
Anyway I got to go hit up the studio with Zombie friend D-Mass to work on a track. Perhaps the first official Faster Zombies music release...we'll see ;)

It's "Throwback Friday" time and to kick things off we have the amazingly named Superlover Cee & Cassanova Rud. These Queens natives produced by the late great hip hop legend Paul C McKasty [Ultramagnetic MC's, Main Source, Eric B & Rakim] where kinda slept on at the time, but now typify the "Golden Era" late 80's James Brown sampling Hip Hop sound. This is the title track from their 1988 debut "Girls I Got 'Em Locked"........we hope they don't mean.....in the basement!

Sienna Miller and Jude Law Reunited

I've never been one to care for either Sienna Miller or Jude Law, separate or together. I always thought that Jude Law was the kind of guy to go cry in the corner. I feel like he plays the same type in every single movie. In "AI" he was a robot man-whore. In "Alfie" and "Closer" he basically was a snake of a man who ended up crying over his poor decision making resulting from his brain being in his dick.

Basically, I imagine that Jude Law cries a lot in real life too. Art imitates life. Life imitates art.
Most of us know that Jude Law was caught banging the nanny which basically led to his break up with Miller. And before that Miller broke up Law and Sadie Frost. Down the road, Miller gets involved with married actor Balthazar Getty. I used to think she was a homewrecker and the Sienna overexposure annoyed the shit out of me.

Now I imagine her as a "victim of love" type who impetuously falls in love, gets heartbroken, and then comes the downward spiral/ bad reputation/ lowered self-esteem/ slutpalooza. There were numerous reports over Miller being upset over her bad reputation. Perez Hilton even gave her the nickname "Slutienna." Sadie Frost actually defended Miller stating, "She is a nice person. She's young. She's a free spirit. She has been really unfairly treated." Way to go Sadie!

Reports have recently speculated that they were reunited and are now confirmed. Somehow the media has twisted me, manipulated me, and sucked my pea brain into their spidery web. Simultaneously, I've fallen for that little real life human romantic drama that is the Jude Law + Sienna Miller...I'll admit it. I hope they work it out.

What if David Lynch = funny

Young 바나나 sent me a link to this. It is pretty funny, and a bit creepy in how accurate it may be in depicting movies in David Lynch's style. If you don't know who David Lynch is, go cry in the corner, then click here. That's wiki, I'd send you to his site but then you'd just buy coffee maybe. Mr. Lynch is perhaps most famous for his movies, from the failure that was Dune to the cult classics such as Blue Velvet. But what if he had directed 3 Men and a Baby?

David Lynch's work on TV includes Twin Peaks which is easily one of the creepiest, intriguing and in many ways frightening shows ever made. If you disagree then please find me another show in which a father molests his daughter then murders her while possessed by a dark spirit. If you can do this impossible task then throw in the idea that the murdered daughter is also a whore / high school student. Oh yeah, it was on during prime time too. Please send me the name of a show like this if you find one. Even if you disagree I think you get my point.

Folks were obsessed with Twin Peaks to be sure.

But would they have been obsessed with star wars if David Lynch had directed it? I highly doubt it.

The reason I went into such detail over twin peaks was because, while it was a great show its style wasn't exactly the normal thing one finds in a TV drama, and it was basically untransferable into its own genre. Small wonder it only lasted two seasons. That said, while Mr. Lynch might be a weird ass director and the show was completely f-cked up, very few things that disturbing inspire muppets. That's classic material... Nuff said.

The 45 King, Swedish TV and a bit of history.

The 45 King is dope.

He is perhaps one of the best producers in the history of hip-hop, from being the brain behind big hits, to pushing the envelope of nearly everything quite successfully. If you are a proper old school fan and vinyl collector, then you more then likely know this, if you aren't I strongly suggest that you read up on him. I was inspired to put this up by nahright.com (big respect!) who featured this video and a couple of others. I added my own two cents because I am a zombie and blog cribbing from color schemes to ideas isn't our style. I also own some 45 king records so I'm a fan. This video is about the making of Jay-Z's "Hard Knock Life" (a song he produced) and you can watch the full version here. Peace Swedish TV. Mer information ;P

The 45 King not only was almost copied to create DJ Kools "Let me clear my throat," and the producer of Eminems "Stan," but also remixed or produced tracks for virtually a who's who of pop music in the 90's. He even did remixes of Madonna's stuff you'll notice by checking out his list of production credits. He was a groundbreaker in the hip-hop world during the 80's as well. The more I looked into him the more "wow" factors were involved. I couldn't find any documentaries about him or his career, but you folks can reference the questionably accurate wiki, peep his personal website, browse through his albums on discogs and listen to my favorites below the videos on "How to make a beat" courtesy of what I think is his own youtube channel. Check out his channel for the next installments.

If you can't spin vinyl, and you DJ, then that's your problem. Seriously. You can still be a DJ... Maybe, but you never put in the work or (more then likely) have the talent of a DJ who did it in the traditional fashion. Those are just the facts. I suggest every Digi-J try out some records and learn from what's come before too. It never hurts right? If you are a vinyl DJ there are a lot of different types of records you may come across, spinning each one has different challenges to be sure, but the one I've found that I feel deserves a mini-blog is the flexi-disc. They were tiny little records that you could bend.. Sometimes they came in magazines, seriously. Cool right? Below is a video of DJ Shadow spinning one, they are pretty weird.

As a result we were all too busy on Saturday, all 24 hours of it, to blog here. We also may or may not have only a few things to put up today, but remember this folks.
